Rockdale Citizen Poll for April 21

"If you are unsatisfied with the direction this county is going, please pray the following. No one is watching, just pray it. As Arlo Guthrie says, 'With Feeling.' Continuous complaining is not helping. We are truly stuck until God intervenes. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

"I'd be willing to bet the farm that the person that has worked for the county for over 20 years and deserves the rec director job. The king and the wizard have to have more people with the same mentality as them, working for them. Ridiculous!"

"If you have never squirted your cat with the water hose while watering flowers, I highly recommend it."

"I read the Rockdale beekeeper article from Saturday,, April 13 and was interested, so used the link at the end of the article to find out more. Below is what I found on the Rockdale County website, Information from January. http://www.rockdalecounty.org/main.cfm?id=4602 Rockdale County Beekeeper Club welcomes new members. "Let's keep this real for a change. Definition of insanity ... Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result! First of all if there are no consequences for wrong actions. We are teaching our kids the wrong thing! Second on my list is not everybody on the team gets a trophy! If you do well and earn it, it's all good, but if you don't work hard, I'm sorry. If we encourage our young people that it's OK not to work hard, you're still going to get something anyway, we are doing them a disservice! One more thing ... It ain't working the current way so let's try something else."

"I was at the library recently, and while waiting on someone decided to check out the first little stretch of the multi-use trail. Does anyone know why the mile marker starts at 0.28 miles at the library? It's then 0.31 at the road, then 0.33 at the next one so it's not just one misplaced sign. Is this some how related to trying to expand the trail under the railroad later, or will it wrap around behind the library later?"

"Thank goodness, it appears, per the 'Two BOC members give nod to Lunsford' article in this newspaper, common sense will prevail here in Rockdale County. When I read the first article about these candidates for the director position, I was amazed at the other two candidates who managed to make it to the top of the pile as choices for this position. What was this committee thinking? I have to wonder at these two particular people being considered the most qualified and best candidates for this job. What were the other candidates like? No wonder companies keep complaining they cannot find qualified employees. I would have thought that both of these candidates would have raised a red flag simply because of their short-term employment in both of their current jobs. Thank you Nesbitt and Van Ness for being a voice of reason and common sense."

Does this story look fishy to anyone else? Cindy Ball said the students entered a locked auditorium after school. Breaking and entering were not charged? why were they at school? I know RCPS has been less than truthful in the past. Makes me wonder if we are getting the whole story.

I saw the article. It is possible that they will be charged with breaking and entering.
