CONYERS -- The Conyers Police Department seized more than a pound of marijuana, cash and a stolen firearm in a traffic stop Wednesday.
According to the city, a Conyers Police officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle operating without insurance. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana, more than $5,000 in cash, a stolen handgun and other drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Christopher Reece Brown, 27, of 2076 Millstone Drive, Conyers, and charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug-related objects, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and no insurance. Brown is being held in the Rockdale County Jail without bond.
