Alex Zahradnik (left), a Lorraine Elementary School second grader and his brother, John Davis Zahradnik, a third grader at the school, do some reading Tuesday morning at the Nancy Guinn Library in Conyers. The boys were at the library with their dad, Ray Zahradnik, who has taught at Hightower Trail Elementary School for 14 years. The Zahradniks have the week off from school and had plans to walk up to Evans Drug Store for lunch between rain showers. - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith

I am very glad to see parents promoting the value and joy of reading to their children. I wish there were more parents like these. And I am happy that this particular note involved a father spending positive quality time with his children. We need more of that too. The library is a resource that anyone can take advantage of, for something other than internet!
