Gwenda Lou Parker, 72, of Woodville, AL, passed away February 14, 2013. Ms. Parker was an avid reader and loved crafting and sewing. She served in the U S Navy and was a long time member of AMVETS. Ms. Parker was a diehard Auburn football fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lilly Mae Kirk White. Survivors include her father, Charles Louis White of Boaz, AL; children, Thomas and Shelia Sherrill and Regena and Steve King of Covington, David Sherill and Paul and Teri Shipton of Conyers; grandchildren, Thomas A. Sherrill, Timothy Sherrill, Matt Cook, Kristin Cook, Brooks King, Hunter Shipton, Luke Shipton; great- grandchildren, Gavin Sherrill, Noah Cook, Anslie Cook, Sadie Claire Cook, Beau King. A Memorial Service for Ms. Parker will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, 2:00 pm, at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 2 pm before the service. J.C.
