The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce will team with NUVISION Financial Corporation to co-host a seminar on Health Care Reform. The seminar will focus on the State Health Exchanges and the Individual and Employer Mandates for 2014.
The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the auditorium at Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Drive in Conyers. Lunch will be catered by students from RCA's Culinary Arts Program.
The guest presenter will be Suzanne Spradley, senior vice president, legal and compliance senior counsel at NFP. The presentation will be geared toward large and small employers and business owners, human resources professionals, consultants and attorneys.
Spradley joined NFP in 2007 as vice president, compliance and counsel. Prior to joining NFP, Spradley worked in the health law and insurance regulatory sections of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP, an international law firm. Spradley oversees the Benefits Compliance Department for NFP, which provides consulting services for NFP Benefit Partner firms and their clients related to all aspects of employee benefits compliance.
Spradley attended the Southern Methodist University School of Law where she graduated cum laude in 2000. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and was awarded a Rising Star designation by the Super Lawyers edition of Texas Monthly magazine.
