All current and future Heritage High School students and parents are invited to the school's first Academic Rigor Fair.
The purpose is to allow students, parents and community members the opportunity to ask questions, see samples of student work and course outlines and get exposure to all of the options for rigor at the high school level. It's designed to help set expectations and reduce anxiety regarding these options before registration.
The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the school's theater and D-hall classrooms.
It will include information tables about Advanced Placement math, social studies, English, science, accelerated math, foreign language, fine arts, work-based learning, Rockdale Virtual Campus and dual enrollment options with local colleges and universities.-- From staff reports
