CONYERS — An elderly woman had to break up an argument between her 52-year-old son and 50-year-old daughter that involved the son pulling a gun on his sister, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
Eric Stones, of 2712 Stanton Road in Conyers, was arrested Sunday morning by the Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated assault, battery, affray and simple battery.
According to the incident report, the siblings’ mother and step-father were sitting in a car waiting for Stones and his sister to exit Stones’ home.
When they were outside the home, the two siblings began yelling and arguing, the incident report states. At some point, Stones allegedly started pushing and shoving his sister. The victim told the deputy that she struck back in order to defend herself, but her brother continued to fight and pushed her into the bushes.
Stones told the deputy that when his sister began arguing with him, he told her “he had something for her and went and got his gun out of the vehicle,” the report states.
At that point, the siblings’ mother tried to get between the two and get Stones to stop attacking his sister, the report states.
“(The mother) stated she got between them to stop them from arguing. She saw her son push/shove (the victim) and she had to tell her son, Eric, to put the gun away,” the report states.
