Tuesday brought cooler temperatures and drenching rainfall in Rockdale County, as shown in this photo taken of the Yellow River at Ga. Highway 20. According to the National Weather Service, rain was expected to clear out overnight leaving mostly sunny skies and moderate temperatures for the rest of the week. Despite Tuesday's rainfall, Rockdale County remains in an area of extreme drought, according to the Georgia Drought Monitor.
